Checkins are 20-minute video calls where you can talk to someone who gets it.

Who are Checkin members?

  • Faith & Spirituality

  • Loss, Grief, & Trauma

  • Love & Heartbreak

  • Moving Away & To

They know what it’s like to:

and many more topics.

How can I support someone?

At Checkin we prioritize listening, empathy, and sharing stories when offering support to someone. Sometimes all anyone needs is to talk it out and be seen and heard. In addition, sharing your own similar experience can help others feel less alone, especially when they don't have anyone in their inner circles to turn to or relate to.

Is there a long-term commitment? Do I have to pay have Checkins?

No, there is no long-term commitment — you can stop hosting Checkins whenever you want to. Checkin is free to use during our current beta period.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of Checkins I have to host? Do I have to be available at certain times?

No, there is no minimum or maximum time commitment. You may connect, chat, and invite others to Checkins at will. If you are inactive for a period of time your profile will be paused, which just means that other members won’t be able to discover you on our explore pages. Once you return, your profile will be reactivated.

Who's behind this?

Checkin is a new project by some of the people behind Meetup.
